JOB DESCRIPTION: 

SAIC is seeking a part time position Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support STARCOMM S2/S3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The candidate will assist STARCOM S2/S3 supporting operational training exercises and planning procedures.

Duties:

• Advise and assist USSF/STARCOM with the development and execution of the FLASHPOINT series of Table Top Exercises in support of crew certification and presentations.
• Advise team members and government customers on USSPACECOM priorities for command and control and battle management (C2/BM) capabilities and provide technical and advisory support for required training activities.
• Perform assessments of STARCOM mission and units as required, build pre sentations and participate in tiger teams as required in support of STARCOMs mission and functions.
• Support higher headquarters taskings and participate in multiple FLASHPOINT planning and execution events in order to provide STARCOM S2/3 with observations and feedback to advance the FLASHPOINT series to better prepare SpOC forces for presentation to Combatant Commands. 
• Assist STARCOM staff as required for preparations of training events and board of directors meetings and advise operational solutions required to meet mission requirements.
• Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Science field mandatory with 14+ years system engineering experience.
• Must  have  experience in space operations and training 
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
