Job Description

A Real Estate Attorney with 3-5 years's experience, who is passionate about the intricacies of real estate law and capable of managing a diverse range of real property matters, is need in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and will excel in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with a proven track record in managing and closing sophisticated transactions.

Real Estate Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Title and Due Diligence: Conduct thorough title examinations and due diligence reviews, identifying and mitigating risks associated with real estate transactions.
  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate secured lending agreements, commercial leases, and purchase/sale contracts with a keen eye for detail and strategic foresight.
  • Transaction Management: Lead transaction closings, ensuring all aspects are executed accurately and efficiently, while providing strategic guidance on deal structures.
  • Client Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, working directly with them to address complex real estate issues and develop customized legal strategies that align with their business goals.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations and implement effective risk management strategies throughout the transaction process.

Real Estate Attorney Requirements:

  • JD or LLM from a top 50 law school, with strong academic credentials.
  • 3-5 years in real estate law, with substantial experience in high-level transactions involving diverse real estate matters.
  • Active admission to and in good standing with the DC Bar.
  • Current or previous employment with an AmLaw 200 firm.
  • Deep understanding of how the legal industry works in Washington DC.
  • Exceptional legal writing, negotiation, and analytical abilities. Proven skill in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting while maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
