Golden Waffles employs ~270 associates with a geographically dispersed route delivery team of ~115. Over 80 distribution centers are located across the United States along with a waffle iron manufacturing and refurbishment center in South Bend, Indiana to ensure prompt distribution to all customers. 

Job Summary

The Order Processor plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of customer orders and the efficient movement of goods through the supply chain. This position is responsible for accurately processing and pulling customer orders, maintaining visibility of order status through tracking systems, and coordinating the timely dispatch of shipments to warehouses, depots, and other distribution points. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication with internal teams and external partners, and a proactive approach to resolving any issues that may arise in the order fulfillment process.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  2. Process and pull Sales web orders twice daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  3. Provide comprehensive customer service support, including tracking orders, managing dock appointments, releasing backorders, honoring ship dates, and addressing other customer-specific requests.
  4. Collaborate with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to quote, schedule, and document outbound and inbound less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) shipments.
  5. Monitor and track LTL and TL shipments, ensuring real-time visibility of order status.
  6. Maintain detailed reports on shipment and delivery issues, including schedules, delays, late pick-ups, and accessorial services.
  7. Serve as a primary point of communication for customers and Route Sales Representatives, keeping them informed about order status and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  8. Record daily receiving data into the internal accounting system (Great Plains) with precision.
  9. Prepare and organize the daily open order and DRT completion reports, ensuring all records are up to date.
  10. Coordinate outgoing shipments with shippers, warehouses, depots, and Route Sales Representatives to meet delivery timelines and requirements.
  11. Partner with internal teams to address and resolve logistical challenges or process improvements.
  12. Perform additional responsibilities and support special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  1. Generalized knowledge of shipping and receiving in a warehouse setting
  2. Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  3. Microsoft CRM & Great Plains experience preferred
  4. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
