Job Summary:
Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs a variety of technical MRI procedures that require minimum independent magnetic pulses for the diagnosis of disease in a human.
Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform MRI procedures following department standards and staying updated on relevant regulations.

2. Schedule appropriate time for each patient and review requisitions regularly.

3. Prepare opaque contrast media accurately.

4. Process images promptly after examinations.

5. Translate physician's orders into appropriate radiographic procedures accurately.

6. Maintain patient logs and equipment downtime records.

7. Collaborate with radiologists to optimize imaging studies.

8. Assume charge technologist responsibilities, including report preparation and distribution.

9. Prioritize "stat" and "emergency" studies as requested.

10. Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety procedures.

11. Ensure productivity levels and monitor inventory accurately.

12. Charge patient exams as needed and transport patients safely.

13. Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, reporting to senior technologist.

14. Keep work area tidy to prevent injuries.

15. Assist patients and families during their stay.

16. Cover duties of absent employees within the MRI area.

17. Cross-train in other areas if applicable.

18. Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and behavior standards.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent (required).
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required).
NJ State MRI License (required).
AART (required).
1 year prior experience as a licensed MRI Tech (required).

Skills:

Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients required.
Strong organizational skills required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
