Job Description

Job Summary: The IT Director at Sternberg Automotive Group plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the technological infrastructure of our organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and implementation of all software, hardware, and network systems, as well as overseeing an IT support person. The IT Director will work closely with all departments to ensure that technology is effectively utilized to meet business objectives. This position is located in Louisville, KY and is a full-time, salary role in the automotive industry. Compensation & Benefits: Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.   • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all hardware, software, and network systems
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all data and information systems, implementing protocols to protect against potential threats
  • Manage and mentor an IT support person, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
  • Collaborate with departments to identify technology needs and develop solutions to enhance their processes and operations
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and make recommendations for implementation that can improve efficiency and productivity
  • Review and negotiate vendor contracts and manage relationships with technology service providers
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure continuous operation of essential systems in the event of a crisis
  • Create and maintain documentation related to IT processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT management role
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing personnel
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation
