The program director will provide the vision and leadership required to support and enhance the mission of the Aviation Management and Career Pilot program. Primary administrative responsibilities include program development/management, budget administration, providing supervision and mentoring to part time faculty and coordinating the preparation, approval and implementation of the Federal Aviation Part 141 manual and related records and student records. Instructional responsibilities require a broad-based knowledge of the aviation industry and requirements of an FAA approved Part 141 program. The Program Director is a member of the full-time faculty and reports to the Director of Aviation Programs. The program director will be expected to teach classes with release time allowed for administrative tasks. The program director will be responsible for growth planning for the department working in conjunction with the Director of Aviation

Education Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in an aviation or technically related field from a regionally accredited college/university
• Valid Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) pilot's certifications and endorsements to meet departmental requirements under Part 141 to include Flight Instructor's Certificate. (Commercial Instrument CFI+CFII)

Education Preferred:

• Masters' degree in an aviation or a related field from a regionally accredited college/university
• Airline Transport Pilot ( ATP ) Rated

Experience Required:

• 5 years industry related experience not including flight training.
• Experience leading/managing a team to include performance appraisal
• Post-secondary teaching and/or industry training experience in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professional workshops, or other continuing education seminars

Experience Preferred:

• Over 5 years of industry related experience not including flight training.
• Post-secondary teaching experience in a Part 141 or Part 65 environment.
• Experience with distance learning tools and LMS systems
• Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes
• Experience in Drone/eVTOL/ VTOL /eTOL or other industry development next generation transportation methods
