Salary: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour based on experience.

Position Overview: The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at various construction sites in the Newark, NJ area, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The role involves managing multiple trades, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining strong communication with clients and staff.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee daily activities on job sites, ensuring a managerial presence from start to finish.
  • Supervise and manage multiple trades and construction teams to ensure work is performed efficiently and safely.
  • Develop and enforce an effective construction schedule for all projects, ensuring compliance with timelines.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project goals are met.
  • Monitor compliance with construction contracts, design specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with project staff, clients, and contractors, addressing issues and providing timely responses to requests.
  • Implement strategies to improve contractor performance and resolve any construction-related problems.
  • Provide estimates for change orders and conduct regular quality control tests on construction activities.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, including record drawings and design documents.
  • Collaborate with the design team to maintain cost control and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with the contract team to evaluate progress and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Develop project control tools and prepare cost reports to track construction progress and expenses.
  • Maintain safety systems on-site and ensure all employees, visitors, and contractors are trained on job hazards and safety practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee safety training programs.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of material safety data sheets and controlled product listings on-site.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within commercial construction.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple trades on-site.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites in the Newark, NJ area; reliable transportation required.
  • Background in carpentry is a plus.
  • Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including email correspondence, documenting RFIs, and creating visual documentation (photos/videos).

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • DOB Certification
  • SST 62 Certification
Pay Range: USD $30.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
