Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in project management and estimating within the construction and architectural sectors. The position is based in Orangeburg, NY, and offers a full-time, in-office opportunity with the potential to contribute to diverse and impactful projects.
About the Role:
In this role, you will oversee and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all project phases. You'll collaborate with various teams, including fabrication and external vendors, while maintaining clear communication and efficient workflows throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Manage the schedule, materials, and manpower coordination for each project. This includes organizing fabrication and overseeing project closeout to ensure successful delivery.
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from award through to closeout, ensuring all aspects are properly handled. This includes the creation and maintenance of project schedules and providing regular status updates on all project activities.
Vendor and Material Coordination: Ensure materials are coordinated both internally and with external vendors to keep projects moving smoothly.
Manpower Requests: Coordinate and manage field manpower requests to ensure appropriate staffing for all project needs.
Change Order and Submittal Management: Handle change orders, manage submittals, track work performed, and ensure all necessary adjustments are addressed promptly.
Meetings and Documentation: Attend jobsite meetings, accurately record meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up on all scheduled concerns and tasks.
Internal Collaboration: Document and manage meeting minutes from internal project management meetings, ensuring that action items are completed before deadlines.
Required Experience and Skills:
Proven experience in project management and estimating, with a strong understanding of the construction and architectural sectors.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of project scheduling, coordination of materials, and field manpower requests.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
